Reflection Paper 5
On Thursday, as said earlier, we continued with our presentation in which we started off with the new topic, that is the procedural steps of inductive teaching strategy in which there were two types of phase: phase 4 and phase 6. the presenter chose the phase 4 and they also gave the reason why so. In this session, i learned that phase 4 procedural steps of inductive teaching strategy is more convenient compared to phase 6 because in phase 4 procedural steps, its all about giving more examples and non- examples to students for their better understanding about a particular concept or generalization. Then we moved on to the role of a teacher, where the presenter told us the importance of the teacher. Lastly the last presenter talked about the advantages and the disadvantages of the inductive teaching strategy. Later on, after the presentation, what i really understood from the above topics is that in inductive teaching strategy, more or less the teacher gives examples about a particular topic and then the rest of work is given to the students. Students themselves have to explore and discovery about that topic whereas the teacher sometimes guides the students, sometimes don't.
