Reflection Paper 6

In this class, we at first recapitulated what we did on  our previous class, this class was normally based on again inductive teaching strategy. What i learned in this class is that inductive teaching is actually about applying what we know to what we don't know in which the tutor has so many things to do like asking lots and lots of questions to the students and make them think about the examples and come up with generalization. The main aim of inductive teaching strategy is to make the students an independent life long learners. What i also learned is that the strategy used by our tutor was Arouson's Jig-saw Strategy which is a reciprocal teaching-' I teach you and you teach me back.'
Later on what we did was, we were asked to come up with one topic each for English and  IT in groups which can be taught through inductive teaching strategy and discuss how we were gonna teach that topic to the students. After the discussion, we were led to move around see what other groups had chosen the topics they wanted to teach the students and how their plan was. After the inspection, sir came by and commented on our group work and that is when i learned another thing, that is every thing cannot be taught through inductive teaching strategy. Inductive teaching strategy works with more of a concept teaching, that is one of drawbacks of inductive teaching strategy.
