Reflection Paper 4

On Wednesday, what we did was very interesting and had a great fun. In this session, we were divided into new groups called as expert groups in which we were given a topic each and had to prepare for the presentation. We had a great time discussing about the topics which were given to us that is the procedural steps of inductive teaching strategy, by the way this session was all about Inductive Teaching Strategy. Later on after the discussion, we wen back to our Home group and then presented the topics turn by turn. The method here used was the Jigsaw Strategy of teaching. Our friends started to present their topic beginning with the concept of inductive teaching. what i learned from my friends was that Inductive teaching strategy is an inquiry or discovery based learning whereby the tutor will present only the specific data or information to the learners  and ask them to explore and generalize own their own understanding and get into the conclusion, but later on we knew the actual concept of inductive teaching strategy and it was actually about the concept going from known to unknown, concrete to abstract and simple to complex. Inductive Teaching Strategy was all of the above. Then later on we moved on to the purpose of inductive teaching strategy, in which we learned about the different purposes of inductive teaching strategy. We couldn't complete our presentation during that particular period so we decided that we will continue the presentation in the next class.
