This class was all done through the presentation by Dessang Dorji and his group. It was all about Questioning Strategy. In this i learned that questioning strategy helps to create a life long, independent learners. There are about three types of questioning strategies i.e. Socratic questioning, Blooms Taxonomy, and Kipling's questioning strategy.
I. Socratic Questioning:
Six types of Questioning-
1. Conceptual clarification question: it gets the students to think more about what exactly are they asking or thinking about.
2. Probing Assumptions: its all about assumption of answer from the students.
3. Probing rational, reasons and evidence: it focuses mainly on reasoning.
4. Questioning viewpoints and perspective: it focuses on questions which can be debatable.
5. Probe Implications and Consequences: mainly focuses on What is best and Why
6. Questions about the questions: attacking the questions through questions.
II. Bloom Taxonomy:
1. Remembering: restate.
2. Understanding: grasps the meaning.
3. Applying: use the information in other area.
4. Analysing: breaks the information into small parts.
5. Evaluating: makes the decision based on in depth reflection, criticism and assessment.
6. Creating: the learners create new ideas.
III. Kipling's Questioning:
5 Wives and Husband.
1. What: noun responses.
2. Why: deeper understanding of information.
3. When: single out time and duration.
4. Who: connects with actions and things.
5. Where: dimensional, regional and geographical space.
6. How: seeks verb of process. probing into deeper details. time and quantity.
*NOTE: A good question always have an answer, whether it is hard or simple.
